Kathi O'Malley

Kathi  O’Malley is a Canine Behavior Consultant and Trainer in the Dallas area.    She is a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and an Associate Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.   Her area of interest lies in resolving specific behavior issues and resulting conflicts between people and their pet dogs.
Kathi believes training your dog should look more like raising any other youngster in a family or social group.  Kathi says, “We bring dogs into our world and expect them to understand us when we should be asking how we can better understand them.   We bombard them with all the arousing stimuli we have created in our fast paced lives without giving our dogs the proper skills to cope!”   Kathi sets up the educational process so that it is fun and rewarding for both owners and their pets.  She emphasizes how positive change occurs when people think of themselves and their dogs as a team.   This team is oriented towards the same goal, a cooperative partnership between  man and his best friend.  The best way to accomplish that goal is to teach humans how to understand canine body language, and how we can use our body movements and postures to affect the way our dogs learn to cooperate with us.
